Location: Homer City, PA (on-site)     Reports to: Director of Manufacturing    Team: ~100 employees     Type: Full-time, salaried

Miller Fabrication Solutions is a 3rd generation family-owned Company with four plants across western Pennsylvania. We are one of the top OEM Fabricators in the country, working to provide effective solutions to our customers. We offer the culture of a family-owned company in a professional environment.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor for our operations in Maplevale, PA. In this role you will lead the production floor every day, making sure our safety, quality, cost and delivery goals are met. You will also build a team that takes pride in its work.

Our ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who knows the production floor, solves problems quickly, and brings out the best in their team.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU, IF YOU ARE:

  • A problem solver: You spot bottlenecks, downtime, material shortages, and quality issues early, and you work with support teams to fix them fast.
  • A leader of people: You enjoy coaching, cross-training, and developing a flexible, multi-skilled workforce, and you hold people accountable while keeping the environment positive and respectful.
  • Results oriented: You track performance against safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets, and you use that data to improve every day.
  • A team player: You work well with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Materials to keep production moving.
  • A career builder: We develop our people so they can take on bigger roles as the Company grows

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the floor. Set daily production priorities based on customer demand, schedule, staffing, and available resources, and communicate them clearly through daily production meetings.
  • Own the metrics. Monitor performance and make sure department goals for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost are met.
  • Put the right people in the right places. Assign employees by workload, skill level, and qualifications, and make good use of labor, equipment, materials, tooling, and floor space.
  • Build and develop the team. Track attendance, performance, and training. Coach, give feedback, and support cross-training.
  • Solve problems with partners. Work with Quality on defects, rework, scrap, and NCRs, and with Maintenance on equipment issues and preventive maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement. Promote Lean, cut waste, improve flow, and make sure corrective actions are put in place and sustained.
  • Keep standards high. Make sure work instructions, safety procedures, and production, labor, and downtime reporting are followed and accurate. Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Support growth. Help with new product launches, process changes, equipment installations, and production transfers.

WE NEED SOMEONE WITH

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience with production scheduling, manpower planning, and meeting production targets
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement
  • The ability to read production schedules, work instructions, drawings, and basic manufacturing documentation
  • A solid understanding of production metrics: safety, quality, delivery, productivity, efficiency, scrap, and downtime
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems
  • Flexibility to work different hours, weekends, or shifts as business needs require
  • The ability to work in a physically demanding environment and spend long periods on the production floor, wearing the required PPE

Additional skills that could position you as a stronger candidate:

  • Previous supervisor, lead, or team-lead experience
  • Technical training or certifications in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing
  • Experience with quality systems, work instructions, and corrective actions

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision plan options
  • Employer-funded basic life and short-term disability insurance
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • 401(k) with a significant employer match
  • Leadership development opportunities
