Description

We are currently looking for a Robot Operator! Responsibilities:

  • Load parts and perform welding requirements to make items as indicated on blueprint
  • Keep accurate records by entering data into job tracking and quality software programs
  • Teamwork with crew members to solve problems, completing simple editing processes effectively
  • Recall programs and set up established procedures.
  • Complete all traceability requirements for moveable parts
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, welding tools, attachments, accessories and materials
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance welding and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
  • Proficiently uses inspection tools, records the measurements on inspection sheets and understands the implications the dimensions have on part quality and function
  • Locates parts on material or work pieces for subsequent welding operations
  • Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, Robotic Welders, and equipment, and tests operation of unity to ensure functionality and performance
  • Plan, layout and perform safely and efficiently, welding and bench operations required to build, fit, or repair parts for equipment, die assemblies, fixture and gages to exacting accuracy with daily supervision.
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment used, maintain internal cleanliness standards in department

Safety Requirements:

  • Employee will give full attention to all tasks.
  • Employee will follow all safety policies/practices/guidelines and will ensure all safety requirements are met or exceeded when performing all tasks.
  • Employee will work to identify hazards and unusual circumstances and will assist in the continual improvement of safety practices and procedures.
  • Employee will participate in safety training programs.
  • Employee will ask questions, share and apply learning.
  • Employee will request help (if needed) to do all work safely.

Personal Protection Equipment (As required in production area):

  1. Must wear safety glasses with side shields (ANSI Z87.1-1989.)
  2. Must wear full face shield in addition to eye protection when using 4” or larger hand grinders
  3. Must wear steel-toed safety shoes (ANSI Z41-1991.)
  4. Must wear hearing protection
  5. Must wear required welding protective clothing and helmet.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Flexibility in working hours and responsibilities as required by workload and production needs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
