We are seeking a passionate, qualified Director of Quality for our growing company of 400+ employees based in Brookville, PA. This position is responsible for strategically developing, implementing and managing Miller’s quality control system. This system is designed to ensure quality at the source and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). The position supervises a team of quality control staff as well as managing all quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) compliance. Manages all quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices to assure the company of continuous conformance with appropriate standards and regulations.
- Serves as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) for Miller Fabrication Solutions or designates a delegate.
- Collaborates with management at all levels to achieve strategic Quality Assurance Objectives.
- Meets quality assurance financial objectives.
- Oversees the development of quality assurance plans for product and product lines.
- Validates quality process to ensure product specifications are met.
- Improve product quality by applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Responsible for relevant quality documentation and reports.
- Continually expanding one’s own knowledge of quality assurance practices, techniques and improvement methods.
- Effectively coaches and leads Quality team and accomplishes quality assurance personnel management objectives.
- Serves as quality process owner.
- Persuasive communication skills that influence others favorably to achieve company goals are required.

- Understands the importance of balancing processes while achieving the end goal.

Qualifications
Education: 4 year degree in related field preferred.
Experience: 5 years minimum experience in manufacturing environment, with 1-3 years management experience preferred.
Other abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret normal daily communication, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, common inquiries or complaints from customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to read and understand product design prints, bills-of-material, routings, work instructions, quality specs and related documents.
- Flexibility in working hours as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
