Job Summary

The Paint Utility position requires hanging unpainted parts on racks for the coating process. Unloading coated parts and assisting in the packaging process. Reading prints, claiming, tracking, tagging correct parts along with masking and plugging tasks in accordance with part specifications. This position will also perform primary cleaning operations by using air to blow abrasive media from blasted parts. This position is a part-time position, working no more than 30 hours a week. Morning, afternoon, and evening schedules are an option. Schedule will be discussed during the interview. All schedules will run for a minimum of two week time period. Part-time positions are not eligible for any employee benefits or the Miller Total Reward Program.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience: 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively communicate/present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Flexibility in working hours as required by workload and communication demands.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/technical drawings.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Cross train on everything.
  • Help wherever needed.
  • ISO regulations are understood and adhered to for all quotes, orders, revisions and any other related correspondence.
  • Market and customer data are maintained for easy access & understanding.
  • Interaction with Sales, Engineering and Production staffs is conducted professionally & effectively.
