Description
We are looking for a bright, detail-oriented and hardworking HR Generalist to join our awesome team here at Miller Fabrication Solutions. The ideal candidate will display high levels of professionalism and trustworthiness, and have 1-5 years of Human Resources experience. 

In this entry-level role, the HR Generalist will support the team with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data entry, including some benefits administration work. In addition, this role will be responsible for receptionist duties, new hire onboarding and event planning. Responsibilities:
  • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate employee. Will transfer a caller to an associate’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.
  • Greets and directs visitors to the company.
  • Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel as needed.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information.
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies as needed.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Assists with recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Assists with benefits administration, open enrollment, and event planning.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience. 
Work Ethic: Reliable, proactive and dependable work ethic, including willingness to go above and beyond in day-to-day tasks.
Education: High School Diploma OR General Education Degree (GED), proficiency in specific skills preferred. Bachelor's degree a plus but not required, preferably in Human Resources.
Values: Generate a professional, ethical and team-oriented culture that fosters continual improvement throughout the assigned site(s).
Communication: Strong, pro-active written and verbal communicator to customers, clients and coworkers, using our values of Accountability, Respectfulness, Coachability and Honesty.
