We are seeking an energetic Account Representative for our growing company based in Brookville, PA. This position will serve as the main liaison between Miller Fabrication Solutions and its customers and will have responsibility for growing and maintaining a profitable gross margin for assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sales support for customers, agents, subsidiaries, and subsidiary designated customers.
- Ensure inquiries are responded to promptly and concisely.
- Provide technical sales support to customers, agents and subsidiaries and demonstrate continued growth in technical knowledge.
- Generate quotations for assigned accounts by managing information flow throughout Miller Fabrication Solutions (Engineering, Production, Quality, Shipping, Purchasing).
- Visit key accounts quarterly.
- Communicate daily issues to relevant sales personnel & executive team.
- Maintain accurate monthly sales order, forecasting and S&OP data.
- Develop short and long-term strategies for optimizing profitability and maximizing market share.
- Develop and maintain estimates of Miller Fabrication Solutions market share, market size, growth potential and emerging applications.
- Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of competitors and their respective market share.
- Develop a Miller Fabrication Solutions strategy for each market based on customer interaction and experience in the market.
- Maintain technical knowledge of Miller Fabrication Solutions Products, including technology products and applications, at a level that technical discussions can be successfully conducted with internal & external customers.
- Understand and adhere to ISO regulations.
- Manage new products and critical orders from start to finish ensuring an error-free and timely completion.
- Organize kick-off meetings once an order is received to ensure all departments have the current drawings/specifications and to ensure the order is processed in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field; or a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training; or relevant combination of education and experience.
Experience: Three or more years of proven experience in manufacturing or technical sales.
Other abilities:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/technical drawings; Must demonstrate ability to learn and understand all materials and metals used by Miller Fabrication Solutions.
- Concise report writing is required to assist in communicating complex issues aided by good analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and dependable work ethic, including following written or verbal instructions. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent PC skills, proficiency in necessary software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, CRM).
- Flexibility in working hours, as required by workload and business need. Willingness to travel domestically (<10%).
- Generate a culture that fosters continual improvement throughout the assigned site(s).
- Strong, proactive written and verbal communicator to customers, clients, and coworkers.
